Dec 13, 2009 - I've only been to Mugshots a couple times, since I'm usually closer to Jackalope if I'm looking for a dive downtown.

Both times have been great experiences, however. Cheap drinks, great people on both sides of the bar, and a nice few tables outside.

It's not a perfect 5, the patio could do with being larger, and usually the jukebox selections are drowned out by the bar next door. Which leads to some strange techno remix songs, I can tell you.

Sep 11, 2009 - Mugshots, though blatantly plopped along a busy intersection along 7th and Red River, seems tucked away from the rest of sixth street. The atmosphere is dark, a great place to go if you don't want to necessarily "see" the person you're courting. There is a fun photo booth as one enters, (fun for drunken shennanigans), a giant beer selection with very attentive bartenders. Oddly enough, the employees actually seem happy to get your drink! Prices are nice and cheap (well liquors starting at two dollars!), and a REAL jukebox with great hair metal and alternative music. There is one billiard room with a pool table tucked away and a dark room with booths for snuggle time! If you're a smoker, the patio is breezy and packed, with plenty of room to sit and enjoy your 2 dollar PBR tallboys! Highly recommend checking it out on a Thursday or friday night.
